Spring Flower Practice

Ther are some who say that making photos of flowers is mundane, cliche and uninteresting. That there are very few photos of flowers that have not been done before. I think that they may be right but that I think the challenge of doing it well is enough. I think that making photos of beautiful things is worth while project on its own.

I have a problem deciding how best to make flower photos. Do you take close ups of one flower or do you represent them as they are and in a group? How do you focus? On one flower with the rest blurry or do you try to capture all of them in focus. It seems to me that the best ones are a single flower in focus.
